Mile High City favorite | The Cherry Cricket – Ballpark

December 12, 2018 preschoolwmama No Comments

The Cherry Cricket opened more than 70 years ago on East Second Street in Denver and has since become very popular in the Mile High City. In November 2017, the Cherry Cricket announced the opening of a second location by Coors Field and after my visit last night, I’m not sure why it took me eight months to come to try this place.

Guests who are waiting to be seated can enjoy the Cherry Lounge. The lounge is filled with comfortable seating, televisions, and a fireplace where you can grab a drink or a bite. While waiting for your table, you can enjoy the view of a gorgeous 1,500-gallon saltwater fish tank and there’s even a little railing perfect for kids to stand upon and get a closer look.

Table games are scattered around comfy lounge seating, TVs line the bar, and the front of the restaurant offers diner seating and a to-go counter. In the very back is a full-on mini arcade with air hockey, guitar hero, and self-serve beer taps.

Crispy Mac and Cheese Bites: Breaded Mac and Cheese

“These crispy, golden little triangles are SO GOOD, I literally ate ten!”

Mashed Puppies: Panko breaded mashed potato, bacon, cheese, and jalapeños

“SO soft and flavorful, by the time I went for seconds, they were all gone! That’s how good they are!”

Cherry Bombs: Crispy boar’s head 3 pepper Colby jack nuggets and Crispy cherry peppers

“I know these were good because I only got to try five! Everyone loved them”

Wings: Tossed in Louisiana sauce served with blue cheese, carrots, and celery

“The wings are hot and spicy but nothing too serious.”

Burgers are big business in Colorado and at the Cherry Cricket, you’ll find Denver’s favorite burgers paired with Colorado craft beers. Whether you’re craving a bean burger, veggie burger, or a burger on gluten-free buns, the Cherry Cricket’s menu offers something for everyone to eat.

I love burgers and the beef burgers at the Cherry Cricket are delicious! You can even choose and add from over twenty-five different toppings. Oh yeah, they also have gluten-free burger buns available!

This was my very first time trying a bean burger and I am obsessed! Many veggie burgers are made from vegetables, whole grains, and legumes (like beans or lentils). These are good-for-you ingredients that provide fiber and a variety of vitamins and minerals. Not only are they healthy but they are DELICIOUS! You definitely want to give ‘Daniel’s Chili-Black Bean Burger’ a try!

No meal is complete without a delicious dessert! The ‘Cricket Brownie’ is served with chocolate & vanilla sauce, strawberry, whipped cream, and toffee crumbles. You can also add a scoop of ice cream for a small extra fee. Their ‘Mini Vanilla Milkshake’ is absolutely delicious and it comes with warm cookies. YUM!

This dinner was hosted by The Cherry Cricket – Ballpark; however, all content and opinions are my own. Thank you Cherry Cricket – Ballpark, see you soon! Please visit our disclaimer page for more information.
